Our Vision
We see CC FOI responding to the call of God to fulfill the
Great Commission.
"But ye shall receive power, after
that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in
all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
Our Mission
To partner with like-minded ministries to
initiate a biblically-based indigenous church-planting movement
among the French-speaking people beginning in Quebec and France.
Great Commission Partnership Values
Recognizing the worthiness of Christ, we
believe the Great Commission is the mandate for the church.
We desire to see a transformation of thinking about how the
church/mission-agency needs to relate to local churches and
how local churches need to relate to the church/mission-agency
in light of new missions realities. We are committed
to developing strategic partnerships that are dedicated to
fulfilling the Great Commission.
We recognize that whenever numerous groups
decide to work together on common initiatives, it is important
to determine those bedrock values that can be shared by all
partners. The following values are characteristics that
we embrace and seek out in ministry partners:
1. DESIRING GOD: We are hungry to know
God and to find in Him a treasure more satisfying
than any other person, thing, relationship, experience, or
accomplishment in the world.
2. The GREAT COMMISSION:
We personally and corporately take ownership in the Great
Commission and desire to intentionally mobilize all
of the ministries of our church/ministry for world evangelization
rather than just fringe groups inside our body or to church/mission
agencies.
3. CROSS-CULTURAL OUTREACH:
We desire to develop capabilities to reach people and groups
who are outside of our cultural and geographical boundaries.
4. STATEGIC FOCUS: We
believe a clearly defined Great Commission strategy
(that is shared by among our church/ministry leaders) based
on the global realities and biblical doctrines is vital and
necessary to fulfilling our vision.
5. PARTNERSHIP: We value
and embrace strategic ministry partnerships with churches
and church/mission agencies.
a)
|
Church/mission agencies play a significant
and unquestionable role in the fulfillment of the Great
Commission |
b) |
We value our in-field partners (receivers) and adapt
our endeavors to align with their vision, goals and needs. |
6. TRAINING: We value
ongoing Great Commission education and training for
our short and long term mission and seek to incorporate our
learning into our endeavors.
7. FINISHING: We are
committed to seeing our church's/ministry Great Commission
work through to completion.
a)
|
We treat prayer with wartime
seriousness instead of peacetime casualness. |
b) |
We give sacrificially and strategically to the fulfillment
of the Great Commission. |
c) |
We provide meaningful "recruitment
to retirement" member care to our missionaries. |
